7 Must Attend EDM New Years Eve 2014 Shows
New Year’s Eve is a slice of summer in the middle of winter. This is no time for hibernation, the nights are at their longest and it’s time to make the most of it. Some of the biggest names in EDM pick New Year’s Eve to go all out. Wondering where the biggest DJs are, and what NYE parties are a cut above the rest? Here are 7 must attend EDM New Years Eve 2014 shows!
1. Deadmau5 in New York City.
Deadmau5 is bringing his huge stage show to Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum. You can be sure he’ll be pulling out every mouse head and every trick in his book to blow the roof off the place.
2. Bassnectar in Nashville
If you’re near the Southeastern USA, you have to check out Bassnectar in Nashville. DJ plays in the round, dead centre to thousands of screaming partiers. Just check out how crazy the countdown was last year:
3. POPNYE in Oakland
If you’re on the west coast, the place to be is POPNYE in Oakland. For fans of trance, progressive house and dubstep, there’s no better way to ring in the New Year than with New World Punx (featuring an extended set from Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten), NERO, Madeon, Bingo Players and more.
4. Kaskade in Las Vegas
Iconic DJ Kaskade is hosting a massive party at XS in Las Vegas. The grammy-nominee is conducting the whole night, so you know exactly what you’re in for. Vegas is the best place to be if you don’t want the night to end early.
5. Lights All Night in Dallas and Mexico City
This two day bash is technically before NYE, on December 27th and 28th. But it’ll take so much you that you’ll need the extra few days to recover. Since it’s a few days before everyone’s playing their own New Year’s party, Lights All Night gets the best of the best. Deadmau5, Kaskade, Nicky Romero, Above & Beyond, Major Lazer, Krewella, and a huge list more. This is a taste of what it like last year:
6. SnowGlobe Music Festival in South Lake Tahoe
This festival has a few days to lead up to its NYE crescendo. From December 28th to 31st in South Lake Tahoe, California, SnowGlobe Music Festival is definite not to be missed. With the likes of Tiesto, Kaskade, Snoop Dogg and more gracing the stage, it hit every note between electro and hip hop. SnowGlobe celebrates the winter, with an outdoor stage with plenty of grooves to keep you warm as you welcome in 2014. Here’s a taste of 2012 festivities:
7. Flosstradamus in Chicago
Speaking of hip hop, if you like trap and you’re near Chicago, there’s no one better than Flosstradamus in their hometown. The Riveria has a 2500 person capacity, so it’s just the right size to have an epic party with two DJs at the top of their game.
