What is Not So Pro Volleyball?
Volleyball is the perfect beach sport. Physical and demanding, it lends itself perfectly to the play hard style of Grand Bend. Every summer the Not So Pro Beach Volleyball Tour hits Ontario beach town getting beach bums to flex and work up a sweat. But what is Not So Pro?
Not So Pro is one of the largest sport and social clubs in Canada. The Not So Pro Volleyball Tour is skipping Grand Bend for 2013, but they’re doing events nearby, hitting Toronto, Niagara, and Wasaga Beach. Anyone over 19 years of age can sign up and play some volleyball on some of the best beaches in the province.
The players may not be professional, but that doesn’t mean there’s slack on the set-up. There’s a rigorous attention to detail. If you make a mistake, you can’t blame the court.
You can lounge court side with DJs and a drink at a Not So Pro event. There are DJs spinning tunes, beach parties as the sun goes down, and a huge beachside patio.
So. Many. Games. If you sign-up for a Not So Pro Volleyball event, you’re guaranteed to play at least fifteen 20 minute games.
Get fit. If you want to look like you’re carved out of stone, you need a chisel. Even casual volleyball games are great for getting fit and getting cut. Bonus: getting a tan with your workout.
There are men’s, women’s and co-ed teams with skill levels from recreational to advanced to competitive. So there’s no need to feel intimidated. This is for the serious and the not so serious.
