EDM artist, Kaskade, is a big fan of Christmas music.
And to prove it, here is his superb re-mix of Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas”. The track has that old school holiday feel that we love mixed with some deep Kaskade rhythms.
“Did this remix in 2005 and always break it back out for the Holiday Season,” says Kaskade on SoundCloud.
His style is mostly bassline minimal, although he occasionally likes to add sudden very abrasive leads and breaks.
Kaskade has released seven studio albums, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard’s Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene.
Kaskade grew up in the Chicago suburbs and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in that city. Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music.
His most recent release, Fire & Ice, is a unique two-disc set. The Fire disc contains 10 original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo, post-club experience by remixing all ten songs. Both discs showcase the musical versatility that has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs.
This year, Kaskade headlined at the Ultra Music Festival, coming on before Armin van Buuren Sunday night. He also headlined opposite Radiohead at the 2012 Coachella Valley Music Festival.
